Best Breakfast in Tawas MI.!!!

Great home cooked food. I have eaten there several times for breakfast outstanding! Food is hot and comes out in a timely manner. Staff is friendly and attentive. Bathrooms are clean! One of East Tawas hidden jewels.

Yummy breakfast! Fast service.

Fast and quality service. Fresh eggs cooked properly both in scrambled and basted (steamed on the griddle, no added oil [as they do not do poached eggs]) style that was ordered. Hash browns ordered extra crispy and they were perfect. Half order of biscuits and gravy a full breakfast on its own, good homemade biscuits, soft, flavorful, gravy was good, strong flavor of freshly cracked pepper (not good or bad for me just an observation for others who may feel strongly either way). Praline pancakes were delicious, fluffy pancakes with crispy edges, praline perfectly balanced, not overpowering.

Small diner. Hometown service. Quick service. Love the grilled cinnamon rolls... they are enough to share. Sliced in half and grilled. I get the Carmel nut. Yum! Biscuits and gravy are really good. Good portions. Good pricing. Always has good service and good food. This place is always busy during tourist season. Plan a few minutes wait to get a table.

If you want good food go to Big Boy, if you want Great Food, go here! Whitetail Cafe has been a favorite of mine for a while now. They have such great tasting food with good prices and that hometown friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Try out the Country fried steak! I like their bacon so I get a side of thick cut bacon as well!

This has become a regular stop for me and my family. The food is consistently good, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly.

Whitetail Cafe is a delightful hidden gem! It’s tucked away in the small town of East Tawas and I found it by chance as I was at a shoe store nearby. The food is excellent, each item is properly prepared...delicious and served promptly. We liked it so much when we went here on Monday that we came back on Tuesday and Thursday this week also! The two mascot deer heads are adorable with the shirts/hats they have on. I love deer so when I saw this place, I had to try it.....finding out how awesome it is was a huge bonus! Try the Big Buck breakfast or the Button Buck breakfast. Also don’t miss the chili or the burgers. I took 5 orders of chili home and put in the freezer...delicious! All I can say is Wonderful......about the Whitetail Cafe!

This place does not treat people respectfully or nice. Place is dirty and doesn't seem pleasent behind the scenes.

Great food. Always my go-to place for breakfast. They even have great specials too! Haven't really had anything from their lunch menu.

I'm never unhappy eating here, but I never have been blown away by the food. It is a solid diner I just wish the hours were more convenient. It'd be nice to be able to get breakfast before going to church on a Sunday

Always friendly and no time wasted. Tight quarters but definitely worth it

Very tasty grilled honey cinnamon rolls here but the stench of chilli dogs and onions ruins the breakfast ambiance quickly. Are you a breakfast place or a hot dog place? Please decide...the smell was bad. Also a female staff member shouted the words "male genetalia" loudly for all to hear. I could tell the families who heatd her weren't happy about it and I don't blame them. In the end the food is okay but the place is pretty trashy.

My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast. I had the Bacon Skillet and she had chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon and eggs. the food was piping hot and very tasty. Wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the price was fair. Give it a look if you're in town in the morning.

Breakfast was inexpensive, fast and amazing! My wife had the whatzit (sub sausage for ham) and loved it! I had the waffle special and it was the best waffle I’ve ever had.

Great classic atmosphere, friendly staff, service is good to great depending on time of day. Food itself is cheap and tastes great. Its overall a nice little spot if you're in the area during the morning.

the pancakes are OUTSTANDING. the staff is super friendly, the coffee is good, and the bacon is tasty. We haven't tried much else because seriously, get the pancakes. Very affordable, too!

Quick homestyle bites. The lighthouse salad special is by far the BEST salad Ive ever ate. Amazing breakfast skillets and grest lunch sandwiches.

Really tasty, stick-to-your-ribs breakfast. Though the cook staff should really be wearing hair nets. My dad found a hair in his food. Even still, everything was delicious and inexpensive.

Great food, good staff, but it's a very small place

I have been coming here for sometime now and never had a problem. Very kind staff and good food at a fair price. Recently in the morning there has been a "local" there spouting his political views for all to hear and in several instansaces he has gotten into and altercation with other customers. I wish something would be said to him by the staff.
